I have been out in the pasture a few times but my foster mom is worried that I will forget where the fence is and hurt myself. With all these other critters around, I am less skittish than I was two months ago when I got here. Before that, I was at the Smith's vet clinic/breeding facility. I was in a corral with other horses my age, but I was not around other animals.
I'm finding it very interesting that my foster mom wants to work with me. I like it when she grooms me with the shedding blade. (She wants me to look pretty for a picture that you can see soon.) I let her groom me all over and pick up my feet for about ten seconds. She is trying to get me ready to have my hooves trimmed. If you look very closely at my pictures, you will see that the tip of my right ear is injured. Someone probably bit me or stepped on me while I was napping.
My foster mom is trying to introduce lots of new things to me, like the lead rope, the trailer, and the longe whip. I will keep you updated on my progress.
Please visit the auction site at www.amarillomontessori.cmarket.com if you would like to take me home.
